A middle-aged couple wanted their basement ensuite bedroom to be redesigned for visits from their adult children and elderly parents. To accommodate this vast range of ages, it was important to allow for a spacious interior, most especially in the bathroom, which has an accessible walk-in shower with a seating ledge inside it.
To really bring to life the couple’s love for nature, a living wall tucked behind the toilet, mirrors and basins in the bathroom becomes the show-stopping focal point. The living wall is made from real, dehydrated foliage, to stay in line with the couple’s interest in sustainability.
